Class 1 Driving Combo

Course Description

This course is specifically designed to maximize the student’s experience with different vehicle configurations. The student will receive a well-rounded advanced driver education with the student and instructor on in-town, rural and mountain routes. Training will be done on full-size tractor/trailer – Super ‘B’ units, loaded at legal axle weight. Visiting scales, brake checks, back up procedure, turn position, hill shifting, gear recovery, brake points.

Course Prerequisite: Class 1 Learners Permit

This course will include:

  • 16 hour Air Brake Course

70 hours of one to one instructor time:

  • 40 hours of class 1 Basic driver training
    • Hours of Service Regulations (Log Books)
    • load securement;
    • tire chain-up
    • winter driving preparation;
    • and tie-down procedures
  • ICBC road test
  • 25 hours of advanced super “B”  training

If writing Class 1 Learners and Air Brake tests in the same day, total cost is $ 15.00

Students must give 24 hours notice if not able to attend scheduled lessons or they will be charged for those missed lessons.
